I've worked on dozens and dozens of Schecters - IMHO, none are my cup of tea in terms of design, build, materials, playability and overall sound.

Wasn't there a time when Schecter's were great? I recall that black Tele from The Who.

yeah well.. Schecter has a Custom Shop here in CA that makes some truly amazing guitars. and they also have the Diamond Series line of imports.... I like their imports though, I think the guitars play well and sound really good. If the new Vs are at the same leval of the C1 series, it will be a great shred guitar.

Rob, you dont feel they are built well, or just saying not your preference? I find them to feel solid and be pretty good players. Many come with top notch components like tone pros and Duncan or EMG pickups.
