If they come stock on Gibsons, then the string spacing will not match Fenders, right?

right but frankly, that doesn't matter much. I've used standard spaced HB with strats with no problems.
Having said that, I dislike the BB Pros tone.

DUDE! So I finally scored a LPStd Faded. Well, because of the kids in the house, I haven't had time to play it through my louder amp, let alone had the chance to run it through various effects pedals. I've been playing it at relatively low volumes straight into a SFChamp.
So, my thoughts on it. I always thought LPs were dark and muddy sounding and heavy on the back. Well, this broke all those prejudices. Bright enough that I can slap the strings around and even twang. And the weight-relief chambering makes it lighter than many Fenders.
I dunno, man. There's one thing I learned from owning this thing. First, I spent nearly three times the amount I've ever payed for my previous guitars. So for me, it comes down to this: I'll play any guitar now, man. I don't care about name brand, made in USA, China, Punjab, maple or rosewood, BC Rich Ironbird or Hofner Shorty, whatever! Give me a guitar and I'll somehow squeeze some music out of it to my best and, darn it, I'm gonna have fun doing it. As long as the guitar doesn't hurt to play. (And I've actually played a few that did.)
Playing my LP doesn't bring me anymore enjoyment than playing my other guitars. It's getting some sort of music out of an instrument that brings me joy. Now if I were currently in a band, then I'm sure that would change. But for where I am now, this approach to music-making works for me.

I've never been able to bond with any of the Burstbuckers - something not-so-good-funky with the tone. YMMV.
