Bloodrose has one so I think he can give you a review. I played one once and I liked it. Had... I had an Edwards Sykes Model.. Black with mirror pickguard and came stock with Duncan Distortions.. Sold it to pay bills and am itching for another. It delivered the goods in spades.. Genuine LP feel and tone. They have the authenticness of a Gibson LP but have the more polished feel of an epi.. Make sense?? Anyhow, they are fantastic for the price.. They have an UPPER class line that is very hard to get called Navigator. The Navigators are Nitro and equivalent to the finest LPs out there.. Id like to have another paul in my stable and will get either another Edwards Sykes or a Epi Elitist..

Ehhh, hard to say.. Honestly, Ive played both the LTD and the eclipse and I find it extremely hard to tell enough difference to justify the double cost. I think the LTDs (and schecters)are very nice guitars and alot of guitar for the money. Having said that.. Its really hard to say. The Edwards are shaped like the LPs and the eclipse is a modified shape. The Edwards had standard binding and not the pearloid stuff on the LTDs. They arent as ornate as the Ltds.. Id say prob alittle better than the LTDs in the fact that there is less filler around the inlays and details like that. Again hard to call. But if you want the authentic shape... Also, I havent played as many edwards' but ALWAYS here excellent things. My ONLY gripe about the edwards (and this is a personal nit pick) is the posts that hold the Tune o matic bridge are screwed directly into the wood. There are no inserts. Now this is how orig gibsons were, so it isnt a big deal, but to me, inserts look less fragile. It didnt lack sustain or anything..

LOL!! too funny! Well, then I can speak first hand on that one.. Comes with Duncan distortions in both positions. They are great for heavy rock.. I swapped em out for something more soulful, but that was preference and not necessity. Word is out on these guitars.. If you get one and dont like it, you can give it to me.. But you also would have no prob moving it on the bay.. But they are nice.. and I love the look of this one

No, the explorer is a Gibson.. Thanks! I love the look. Limited run in 2002. mirror guard and truss cover. I added the crome rings and Duncan 59b in the neck and Custom in the bridge. Its amazing

do the edwards seem like the LTD or ESP version. I know the LTDs are a bit cheaper.

Roger, Pls see my reply on 7/15 at 4:35. The Edwards is authentic lp shape.. the ESP and LTD are not. I dont think the ESP is twice the price better than the LTDs and I like the binding and all on the LTDS better than the ESP. So, hard to compare. Obviously, if you want authentic LP shape and look - edwards. If you want ornate - LTD If you want to pay more and have Big name- ESP And if you want to have to take a second mortgage on the house- buy a Gibson John Sykes..
