Why can't I plug the g-major into 2 amps simultaneously via the FX loop? It does not want to seem to work. Thanks!

How are you trying to cable it out?

The G major has 2 inputs (left mono and right) so I just went into each via the 2 amps FX loops. One amps sounds ok and the other really doesn't produce. I was told I need some special switcher called the Digital Music GCX Guitar Audio Switcher. Seems pretty elaborate.

hmmm there is something wrong there, it should work.... check your routing/ configuration settings.. I don't have mine anymore so I can't help you without looking at one.
But it should work, although it might create a ground loop.
Now if you are running 2 amps, it'd be better to do a wet/dry set up anyway.

Run one amp completely dry with more low end on the EQ and the other one with your effects with a treblier tone. You will have to mix the effects on the wet amp higher than you normally would to so they stand out on the mix.
This gives you great note definition and you still hear the effects really well. Nearly ALL pros that run a lot of effects do that.
