You guys ever seen a Washburn MG130 Stevie Salas? They were made in USA 96 and 97 and are amazing! I have fallen in love with one! Neck thru mahog body and neck, Superstrat shape, but 24.75 scale. Plays effortlessly and barks like a paul.. Comes with Duncan JB bridge and Cool rails neck and middle. The neck is not shredder thin, but flat and comfy and the frets are jumbo. these US Washburns during the Grover Jackson era are jems..
Only heard of Steve Salas through a singer named Sass Jordan. I think he played on a few songs on one of her albums. "Color Code" comes to mind. Am I thinking of somebody else? I saw his name mentioned in a Japanese magazine over ten years ago.
I liked Sas Jordan! You are correct. Steve Salas did Color Code. He has worked with alot of artists and done several of his own albums. A bit unknown in the states but big in Japan. Im not a huge fan of his personally, but I love this guitar. I actually emailed him about this guitar since they are rare and Washburn cant even confirm how many were made. Steve emailed me back saying that he didnt know either, but that they asked him to do this signature guitar, paid him well, but made him upset by not making it to his specs. So he parted company. I thought it was cool of him to reply.
