Well, I need some advise on the quick...
Ive had my gear stored at a friends house for awhile.. I now have to move the stuff elsewhere. The only option I have is into my storage shed. (commercial storage facility) The unit I have is not climate controlled and sadly, I cant afford rent on a climate controlled one. In my area of Fla, the temps during summer go from 85-105. The Shed probably averages 85-95. (low, near the floor) During the summer because of the shade. I WOULD NOT leave in there during the winter. I figure many people keep gear in sheds and even use them for practice rooms. Also, gear travels in vans and buses all over the world.. Please tell me Im not gonna kill all my babies....
I know this isnt ideal, but I have no choice. Will it destroy my guitars??

I would imagine it could warp the wood. In FL the temp swings in a give day can be 30 degrees (60's at night 90's during the day) so I would advise against it.
Maybe put them in a non-music consignment store for a ridiculous price. Then grab them back when you can.

me personally, I wouldn't store them there.
How much stuff are you storing, and how long do you plan to store it? If it's a lot of stuff, and it'll be long term....you need to sell some stuff IMO.
...or prepare yourself for some less than happy results.

Roger, thing with doing a consignment deal is that Ill have a bunch of weenies banging on my gear and scuffing them up and corroding the strings.
Ray, Yeah, this whole situation is less than ideal. I wouldnt consider it at all if it was winter. Ive seen horror pictures of cracked paint and stuff from wood shrinking and all.. Ive been trying to sell several guitars, but no one is buying right now.. I sold my Les paul recently. And I had to pawn my Schecter and couldnt afford to get it back. Ill be storing my marshall head, 4x12, ( the ampeg bass amp Ive had there for a couple of years already and all but 3 of my guitars. I wont put the accoustic there.

The storage place is a bad idea, try to see if any friends can allow you to keep it in their house for a while.

you need to sell some stuff IMO. I agree. If you are not using them, you probably don't need them. If you can get good price for them on Ebay, just sell them and repurchase the same type when you can. Are the guitars unique?

RATS.. I replied and its gone..
I said Ive tried to sell some and got a bunch of crazy low ball bids on ebay. No one willing to give a decent price. I even got heckled once by some guy. Offered me a lowball bid so I told him no, Id wait to ride the auction out.. said Id be sorry and every day he'd send notes like "looking good". "see, I told you". I did just sell my LP studio
Unique?? Hmmmm Well, I have old Kramers and Grover Jackson era Washburns. What I want to sell are Charvel 4, I have a 80s model Peavey Nitro Limited Neckthru. Number 263 of 800. Ltd EC400at. Epi G400
