You guys played the Taylor electrics? I have played them and I absolutely was stunned buy the low end one. Swamp ash. I plugged into a marshall and was playing these dramatic long sustained leads like I hear on instrumental records. And like I never thought Id be capable of..
Needless to say, I have a bunch of guitars for sale right now..

Well boyz..... Ever since that fateful day, Ive not been able to get over what I heard . I have gone back several times and played the new taylors and each time, come away impressed. Suprisingly, (and thankfully!) of all the Taylor models, the lowest line one is the best for me.. The tone control acts as a mid boost in the last 1/4 of the rotation.. Thin body, impeccable fretwork, great pickups, neck is just right, awesome case. I need some money and I also have accumulated too many guitars, So I already had a bunch for sale. But this Taylor just had a hold on me.. So, I started checking Flea bay. I found one on there that took best offer, so I shot em an offer that was a good bit below reg price and WAAAAAY below what the local shops are gouging for them. Accepted!! plus, shipping was free.. So, on december 4 , what would have been my Dad's birthday, my new baby arrived! (Coincidence??) Sadly, the selector switch was broken off (dealer sending a replacement) but otherwise, its amazing! I normally dont like to play clean.. this guitar has such an amazing warm clean that its almost addictive.. Plus the sustain is fantastic! Its so very musical and versatile, very dynamic and touch sensitive.. I put on straplocks and tuned it up.. Was intonated perfectly and set up spot on with .10s. Its absolutely intoxicating and it feels like my playing has improved just in the little bit ive gotten to play it. I definately believe that Ill be selling more guitars soon.. Trying to decide what Floyd equipped guitar to keep. Hmm, perhaps a Splawn Quickrod is in my future.....

This may sound corny, but I wonder if some of the enjoyment of this guitar is the lack of pressure.... Let me explain.. Im my own WORST critic.. Im nowhere near where I want to be as a player.. When I play this guitar I am more diverse, and play more freely.. I am able to get in the zone easier. I spent some time wondering why that is. ?? I think that when I play a Les paul, I should sound like the LP legends that have come before.. When I play a strat, I should sound like SRV,gilmour etc.. With this, since its new, there is nobody.. So what I create is ok.. no pressure..
Is that whacked??

MAN!! I LOVE it when I read about something getting someone off as much as that. Congratulations!
I don't think that's whacked. If you're comfortable playing something (no matter the reasoning behind it), you will play better.
...I believe.
Not bad looking either. And that bridge design is interesting.

We have a habit of behaving in a certain way around certain people. I for one used to act differently around attractive women. And for this, these women never got to know me but were exposed to this character I became before them. So having no expectations nor history with this guitar, you're just yourself and are hearing your true self with no "pressure" or prejudgments. That's awesome!

thanks! Yeah Ray, the bridge is one of the special design items for this guitar. Its very simple, comfortable under the hand and yet allows you alot of control over muting pressure.
They have some new technology in this guitar.. the neck joint has a one bolt deal, the neck fits into the pocket like a key for max contact and sustain.. I hate to sound like a fan boy, but Im really jazzed about this.. Ive been thru alot of guitars last couple of years and found alot that were close, but this one helps me step up. Very expressive and I dont have to tweak pickups or anything...

Soon after you started this thread, I saw a CMT Crossroads with .38 Special and Trace Adkins, and saw a dude in the back playing the single-coil version of this guitar.
